一． 概況 

　　《地理信息》標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是《信息技術(shù)》標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的重要組成部分，它屬于信息技術(shù)在自然科學(xué)中的一種具體應(yīng)用。地理信息國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)由國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化組織（ISO）的第211技術(shù)委員會(huì)，即ISO/TC211技術(shù)委員會(huì)歸口。該專業(yè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的制定工作從上世紀(jì)末開始啟動(dòng)，于2000年發(fā)布第一項(xiàng)地理信息國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)以來，到現(xiàn)在已發(fā)布了共計(jì)32項(xiàng)國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。地理信息國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)雖然由ISO/TC211歸口，但按照國(guó)際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)分類，它屬于“35 信息技術(shù)”大類的“信息技術(shù)應(yīng)用”中類的“信息技術(shù)在自然科學(xué)中的應(yīng)用”小類，即“35.240.70”類。 

　　我國(guó)在地理信息標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化方面也作了不少工作，并成立了對(duì)應(yīng)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化技術(shù)委員會(huì)，即TC230委員會(huì)。到目前為止，我國(guó)共發(fā)布了7項(xiàng)國(guó)家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
